"Happy New Year!" What does that mean anyway? What are we trying to convey when we greet one another with that expression? Pastor Marc Cargill uses this greeting " May your best day of 2002 be your worse day of 2003!" How wonderful it would be if that would come to pass-some of God's people had some rough waters to pass through during 2002! However, we also can assume that some of God's people will have some fire to pass through in 2003.

One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house. His three children were outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
Lucy is looking for new ways to be a "friend of sinners", can you help her?
Concerning your question--Lucy is looking for new ways to be a "friend of Sinners"… the first thought that came to my mind is-love her children. No mother can resist the genuine love for her child from you--especially when it is initiated by you for no personal gain. Donna: Good thing you have ten minutes… I really don't have time to talk either… off to pick up the cake for Kirsten's party. Just finished dropping off the postcards for next weeks Back To School Rally. I really shouldn't have handwritten all 500, but you know how that personal touch goes such a long ways.

The Question: How or what do you do to refresh your body, your soul or spirit? Share with your sisters some hints or testimonies of how times of refreshing have come your way!

In the last issue of Real Women I was glad for the admonition to rest. It is something that I have had to learn; that I still struggle with, but for me has been an opportunity to learn the way of the cross.
Are you afraid of the dark?
