Most of us are not professional fishermen. When Jesus called to Himself men who would afterwards become apostles, some of them were fishing for their lively hood. To let the real Jesus show up any way He wants to, to do what He wants to do, not just what we want Him to do, we need to let Him out of the confines of how we have boxed Him up in our own understanding. May the Lord bless us with revelation and truth to help open us up from the limits of our own expectations so we can know Him more in the reality of who He really is.

How do we connect what we believe to what we do? There can be a great disconnect between what we say we believe and how we actually live; between what we say we believe and what are actually doing with the faith we say we have. How we live our lives is the true record of the faith we have and what we have faith in.

Learning to let God be who He says He is to us in all things.  Learning to not have any other gods in the place of the almighty in any area of our lives.

Do not cast away your confidence in the Lord when the circumstances of you life have apparent contradictions to who He is and what He has promised in His word to do for you, in you and through you.  He will fulfill  His promises!
