Can you help Lucy Leader grow in her life as a Christian Woman in leadership? The following is a “too true to life” scenario, that we as Christian Women leaders may or may not have faced. Can you send in your suggestions on how you would handle this challenge?
Pastor Paul Leader and his lovely wife Lucy (who is in also in charge of the Children’s Ministry)...came into conflict when she felt she had to remove the middle school teacher due to constant unpreparedness and her habitually coming late to class. Mrs. Middle School teacher’s husband is on the Church Board and came and complained to Pastor Paul—saying that Lucy had only removed his wife due to personality conflicts and jealousy because Mrs. Middle School teacher had become a listening ear to the Pastor’s son, James, a member of the class. Any suggestions for making this a “win win scenario” for all involved? How can Pastor Paul respond without upsetting his wife, his Board member, and his son? How should Linda respond—to her husband as Pastor and to her husband as her husband? Suggestions for Mrs. Middle School teacher? Mr. Board Member?
