Dear Lucy,

I know that I am not very faithful in writing you back, but your newsletter is an encouragement to me. It helps me to stay focused on the fact that I am a leader.

It helps me to stay walking in love. I see that you love me enough to communicate with me. That means a lot!

It helps me realize that I need to stay in touch with others. This is a sacrifice that pleases God!

Your newsletter helps me stay true to myself when others are not true.

It also helps me stay balanced when all the world around me is pushing and pulling on me.

Don't give up, Lucy! We need you. Thanks for letting me know that I need to make time more often to communicate with you. Your needs are not that different than mine. It's just that somehow, I keep placing you up on a pedestal, as though you have "made it" spiritually, and are beyond the simple need of love and encouragement. You are doing a wonderful job, and you are appreciated!
