Dear Real Women Readers! September 1998 was the launch date of Real Women! I realized that we have added many new friends to our readership in the past few years—and I have neglected to re-state the vision.
Why Real Women! As a title?
The title comes from my sincere belief that God uses ordinary vessels to do extraordinary things! To become a woman God can use to the fullest extent, we must first be REAL. This is a process of learning to trust Him enough that we allow ourselves to be transparent first to Him and ourselves and then to others. A real individual is one who is authentic, one who is genuine, honest and sincere. She is true to herself and to her God.
My heart is that this newsletter becomes a vehicle for us to encourage the whole woman—physically, spiritually and emotionally with practical teaching and suggestions that have been discovered throughout this adventure called LIFE!
Our goal has always been for this to be an interactive tool. Where sisters in Christ can come and share what our wonderful wise God has taught them, wherefore they may comfort others with that which they have been comforted. In order to do this, we need your feedback and your insight. I would love to have any insights, comments or suggestions. What would make it worth your time and energy to read?
I am not discouraged—in fact, everywhere we have gone this past year someone has come up and thanked me for publishing Real Women! My concern is that we keep relevant and on task.
