Martha has invited me to share a few words with you concerning valuing your gifts and callings in the Lord as a woman from a man's perspective. Interesting assignment wouldn't you say? Anyway I do have some great encouragements for you ladies. First let's consider the following verses from the Bible.
Galatians 3:26-29 (NKJV)
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
All are members of the body of Christ when we accept Jesus as our savior. There is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. All have the same value, all have the same promise of eternal life, all are heirs and joint heirs with Christ Jesus, all have the same access to the throne, all have the same provisions of grace, all are called to walk in the same faith, all have the same life of God flowing in them as believers whether male or female. Because we are called with one calling and are all found in Christ Jesus we are each uniquely valuable and necessary parts of His body. This is true for men as well as for women. In the body of believers, men are not complete in the plan of God without you ladies, neither are the women complete without us men. We need you to be all that God has called you to be, and you need us to be all that God has called us to be.
Don't try to be men! You certainly don't want us to try to be women do you? What I mean by this is that God created you, your womanhood, your capacities, your inherent perspectives for a purpose that is needed in the needed, it is a valuable part of the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. As you become all that God has made you to be, and as you value yourself as a vital and life-giving part of the body of Christ, you will bring great blessing to all you touch.
Many of the wonderful things that have been effectually ministered to me have come through women who were alive to their call in the Lord. I cannot begin to imagine what my life would be like if they hadn't effectively touched my life by the gift of Christ within them. I thank God for each one who moved in His grace and love to share with me wisdom, understanding, prayers, words of assurance, words of faith, a song of praise or worship, a testimony, the list goes on and on. On behalf of all us guys who have been so blessed by you ladies, thank you and God be praised through Christ Jesus working in you and through you.
