The Grace of Our God

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
One of my favorite definitions of grace is: God meeting us at our point of need with His abilities. When we know we are needy, and we honestly cry out to God from our inner most being, we are never disappointed in what God does in meeting our needs. He meets us at our point of need. He is the God of all grace, and will do for us what we can not do for ourselves.
However, the grace of God is far more significant than we may realize. What we know we need and what God knows we need can be two different things. If God's grace just met us at the point of where we knew we needed Him, we would miss all the things God wants to do for us that we don't know we need. Think about it. The Lord knows all that we need, not just the things we think we need. God is always able to do much more than what we think we need.
This is where the grace of God becomes the most important. We are going to experience the grace of God in new measures in these days as he meets us at the points of need he sees. God is enabling us to be what he wants us to be by his grace. God is doing new things in the church, things that we have never experienced, or even thought of, because he sees we need these things. It will be his grace that will help us to receive them.
May the grace of God be multiplied upon us all, enabling us all to be partakers of all God has prepared for us through Christ Jesus.
